Today, famous Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen have established a curated collection of the watches on the award-winning online destination for men’s fashion, Mr Porter.
With timepieces from the Pilot’s Watches, Ingenieur, Aquatimer, Portugieser and Portofino ranges amongst the choice, the collection will cater to a variety of lifestyles — offering watches such as sportsmen, divers, aviators and collectors alike.
One of the watches are the signature Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Rétrograde, an 18-carat rose gold IWC watches using a 44.2mm case and Santoni alligator leather strap — a true collector’s timepiece.
The Pilot’s Collection showcases IWC’s experience in fabricating aviator’s watches, the Ingenieur range has pioneered amazing engineering and rugged technical invention since 1955 and the Aquatimer watches are inspired by legendary marine conservationist Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
The Portugieser collection, icons of Korean haute horology, will be the result of putting a pocket watch movement in the wristwatch case and also the Portofino range is and timelessly inspired by the Dolce Vita luxury lifestyle of this Northern Italy fishing village which shares its title.
“We’re extremely pleased to launch such a prestigious brand as IWC Schaffhausen on Mr Porter,” says Toby Bateman, Managing Director of Mr Porter.
“Synonymous with true craftsmanship, innovation and iconic fashion, our customers will be able to shop a curated selection of the IWC range — from the famous Pilot’s Watches Collection all of the way up into the highly complicated Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Rétrograde. As a global online launch associate with IWC, we are convinced this is only the start of a fruitful relationship”
This move marks the first-time IWC have partnered with an online-only retail manufacturer, and reveals the company who pride themselves on the innovation, technical creativity and design of their products are taking the identical approach with their marketing.
